My Logbook

Welcome to my Sweat365.com Training Logbook. From this page you can search all of the workouts that I have entered.

Last year (2007), my 2 main goals were: to complete my second Ironman in sub 11 hours, and to qualify for the Boston Marathon by running a 3:15 marathon. Yeah… that was crazy… I failed miserably at both.

This year, I’ve been very focused on building Sweat365.com (yes, this site), and so my training has taken a back seat. But I still plan to complete my third Ironman race (Silverman) on Nov. 9th. Silverman is considered one of the toughest, if not the toughest, Iron distance course in the entire country. Yowza! I mostly just want to survive this year.

I use Sweat365.com to track all of my workouts and blog about my training because Sweat365 allows me to do both easily in the same interface. Plus, the growing community of fitness minded people at Sweat365 inspire me to continue on my crazy fitness goals.

You too can have a Sweat365 fitness blog with integrated training log. Just sign up here!

If you are a Sweat365.com user, and you want to publish your Logbook Reports, simply add a new page, and choose the “Logbook” page template. You can then add as much or as little information to the top of the page, and visitors to your blog will be able to view your latest training reports.

I haven’t added all of my workouts to the system yet. You can see a gap between week 3 and week 18 that I haven’t yet added. If you query various activity types, you’ll quickly see how little I like swimming. ;)

I’ve imported my 2006 calendar using the new “Import CSV Logbook” feature. And with the new “compare to prior year” feature of the weekly chart you can now see how my training volume and distances compare to last year.

Unfortunately I didn’t track my actual miles of running in my Excel spread sheet last year, so this is an estimate at 10min/mile. I know I ran a faster average than that so my mileage is low for last year. Same issue with my swim distances last year, these were estimated at my long distance pace of 40min/mile.

Play around with it!

Import your own logbook too! Go to your Dashboard -> Manage -> Import.

Brad,
You are on track for a great race. Your tempo run at Green Lake may have had some miles that weren’t totally consistent, but your overall pace is right where it should be. You’ve put in all the work, now is the time to taper down. It’s okay to put in a little speed work, but don’t use up all your energy reserves. It’s time to rebuild and get ready to race. You are ready! :)

Hey man, thanks for the comment. My tri’s not for almost another year … I’ve really got to get better in the water. I’ve got my eyes on a few tune-up biathlons before then. I picked that specific triathlon to be my first because it’s the biggest around here and it was this one’s results I was recently formatting at work that actually got my motivated to train for a tri in the first place. Well, time for a bike ride!!!

That’s a pretty impressive feat you got going there with losing all that weight. Congratulations.

This year’s NYC will be my 3rd marathon. I realize how much of a loser I sound like moanin’ about my 12 mile run, when most people in the world would kill to be able to just roll out and do a 12 mile run.

Take it easy!

Hey! How are you? I was just wondering if you’ve heard anything from Kansaman. He seemed so down and he hasn’t written anything since that last blog… I’m kinda worried. I’m sure he’s ok, I’m just worried cause I hate to see someone so sad :(
