Kevin’s 58th Birthday Ride

Posted by Brad Hefta-Gaub under: Cycle.

One of my virtual friends who I hadn’t yet met IRL invited a bunch of us to ride together for his birthday! I knew it would be casual, so I rode my PowerCranks.

The course was really really hilly, and we agreed to regroup regularly. So even though we were only rolling at 13 mph, we still had lots of stops and waiting for others in the group to catch up.

But it was a good time, and I rode in some sections of Seattle I have never ridden in.

Here I am at the top of one of the hills, demonstrating Rule #80- Always be Casually Deliberate.

About Brad

Me in 2002 - 200lbsThis is my fitness blog. Some people who knew me a long time ago may wonder, what the heck I'm doing writing a blog about fitness. Many of them wouldn't imagine that I'd have anything to do with fitness. You see, up until age 34, I treated my body very poorly. I sat around at home, at work, at play. I ate junk food and lots of it. And the result was what you'd expect 5'4" and 200 lbs with 36% body fat. (more...)
