Over 100,000 meters of swimming for the year!

Posted by Brad Hefta-Gaub under: Swim.

Wow… that’s huge! I’ve never come anywhere close to this milestone. But I saw that I was at 98,000 meters and knew I had to cross 100,000.

My new Garmin watch is definitely a plus for lap swimming. It does a great job of detecting my laps, so I don’t have to keep track. It still seems to get confused with my strokes, and sometimes thinks I’m doing breast stroke or back stroke. I guess that just proves I’m a sloppy swimmer.

Anyway, super pleased with crossing this milestone!

About Brad

Me in 2002 - 200lbsThis is my fitness blog. Some people who knew me a long time ago may wonder, what the heck I'm doing writing a blog about fitness. Many of them wouldn't imagine that I'd have anything to do with fitness. You see, up until age 34, I treated my body very poorly. I sat around at home, at work, at play. I ate junk food and lots of it. And the result was what you'd expect 5'4" and 200 lbs with 36% body fat. (more...)
