172.5 Miles Down - 622.5 To Go!

Posted by Brad Hefta-Gaub under: Cycle.

Cranking through those miles… today was supposed to be very rainy… but fortunately, I didn’t get rained on in my ride. And, since a warm front moved in, it wasn’t as cold as yesterday.

To reach my goal I need to average 13.5 miles per day for the rest of the year. Since I’ve got a business trip for the next three days, I’m glad I was able to bank a few miles. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch a good spin class or two while I’m on my trip. — Oh, and to answer the age old debate — yes, I’ll be counting indoor miles toward my 5,000 goal. After all, I doubt there will be more than 100 miles indoor miles in my total, seeing how I haven’t done any so far.

I just finished my first year of riding at the end of October. I didn’t track my miles so well, so I’m not sure how many I did before joining sweat365. Since Feb, when I started blogging I’ve managed 2190 miles so 5000 sounds like a pretty big number to me right now. I’m confident you can reach your goal though as you seem to be able to just crank out 50 + miles pretty much at will. It will only take a few of those to knock those miles down. Keep crankin’ ‘em out!
