151 Miles Down - 644 To Go!

Posted by Brad Hefta-Gaub under: Cycle.

Did the Lake Washington Loop on my Shogun Fixed Gear Funny Bike.

It was COOOOOOOOLD this morning. Rode for a while with a guy on a 3 speed. He was riding with a bunch of racers. But he had jeans, and hiking boots, and a crazy old steel bike. I asked him if he’d lost a bet or if this was his standard winter bike. He made a strong case for why it was his winter bike… basically that comes Dec/Jan you’ll lose all your fitness anyway, so you might as well not train hard, just ride for fun and base. He is also strongly against riding your race bike during the winter or even during the week in training. Save your light bike for your race!
