Yes, I am Tired
Ok, so at first I posted the workout I had hoped to do: my standard lake loop, 51 miles about 2:45, 18mph… but I hadn’t yet done the ride. When I got out there, I realized, it wasn’t going to happen.
I am still way to tired (apparently)… I couldn’t get my HR to zone 1… let alone put in a real effort. So, I did a very slow, very low effort 21 miles.
The weather was absolutely beautiful! But it was cold enough that I needed full finger gloves, and I clearly need to start wearing my winter gear.
Workout:
- Type: Cycle
- Date: 11/13/2008

- Total Time: 1:30:00.00
- Average Heart rate: 109
- Max Heart rate: 136
- Distance: 21 miles
- Average Speed: 14 mph

well, actually, I haven’t gone for this ride yet.. I was just testing a feature of the site.
And, unfortunately, my Tri bike is still being shipped from Las Vegas, so the new wheels are not available to ride on.
I will go for this ride, leaving soon… but I will probably use my fixie.

How can 21 miles be very low effort?? You are a mad man and I love you for it!! You are an inspiration to all of us! 21 miles is a big deal for some of us, i guess it depends on your perspective. Don’t sell yourself short, low effort or not it’s still pretty good. Keep up the good work!!

Relax and ease back into it. Let your body recover. It’s all good.

Thanks for all the feedback and support guys! I know I need to rest… this bike ride turned out to be a very casual effort.

Yeah Brad! Nice work on your ride you went as fast as I did during the race. I feel like I should be training but I think the long rest is helping me.

Of course, you should be taking it easy this week, y’know.
Seeing that you struggled on this ride is quite a relief though - at least it shows that you’re human. Either that, or someone’s slipped a nugget of kryptonite under the saddle . . .

I have run a little the last couple days… I gotta log them. Both runs have been with my daughter so, not exactly far or fast, but yesterday I ran solo for a little bit.
