Commute to Meeting

My legs were still sore after my 21 mile run.

Another cyclist wanted to draft off me, and then have me draft off him. Sounds like a good idea, free speed, right? Well, he was pushing me hard, so it wasn’t exactly “active recovery” as much as it was “active activity”!

The first 10 miles were flat, and with this worker… The last 5 miles were all up hill and by myself… I don’t know the times for each, but I’m pretty sure it was like 21mph vs 13 mph.

i bet if you found somebody to run with regularly at a challenging pace, that you would find that faster gear is still in your legs.

That’s my kind of friend/training partner, no rest for the ironman. Very impressed with your 21 miler as well. I will take you up your offer as soon as I get vermy fear and test my damn knee.

Yes Chris loves me more, no that’s right..I am more lovable when I am out of the house and leaving my stress on the road.

I agree… if I had a running partner to push me I would probably run faster…

After all, I am able to keep up with the rabbits when I try.

Me in 2002 - 200lbsThis is my fitness blog. Some people who knew me a long time ago may wonder, what the heck I'm doing writing a blog about fitness. Many of them wouldn't imagine that I'd have anything to do with fitness. You see, up until age 34, I treated my body very poorly. I sat around at home, at work, at play. I ate junk food and lots of it. And the result was what you'd expect 5'4" and 200 lbs with 36% body fat. (more...)
