Test Run: Vibram Five Fingers

Went for my first test run with my new Vibram Five Fingers barefoot runners… Did a mile at the track… There was a girls high school soccer game going on at the stadium and I was getting a lot of strange looks.

All in all, I think they felt good. I’ll need to work my way up to longer distances… as my blisters aren’t yet fully callused over.

Hehe. I must say, they do look a bit weird. I’d love to try it though.

That’s the funniest looking shoe I have ever seen. What is the price tag?

Pretty reasonable price actually… $70

Brad,
I think I’m going to grab a pair of these. I was pleasantly surprised to find a store that stocks them out here, so I’ll run down and try on some sizes. I’m leaning toward the Sprint model right now as it seems to have a more secure fit, what with the Velcro band over the top of the foot. Going by the picture you posted, you seem to have the Classic model. Have you had any problems with feeling like you’re “running out” of them or do they fit nice and snug?
