Another Fixed Brick

Posted by Brad Hefta-Gaub under: Cycle; fixed gear; fixie.

Solid 32 mile bike for another fixed gear brick today. I decided to head south from my house along the course of the STP, which passes about a quarter mile from my house near the start.

I rode16 miles out at a 20.5 mph pace… when I turned around, I realized my pace was assisted by a hearty tailwind. In other words, it was a lot less fun heading home. :)

But all in all the ride was pretty good. I feel good about being able to hold a steady solo pace of 19.5mph for 32 miles on my fixed gear. Especially considering that the route I took had some good little hills on it.
