Another Side Effect of Training: Real World Endurance

Posted by Brad Hefta-Gaub under: Fitness; Ironman; Living Seattle; triathlon.

I just read this story about some fellow triathletes who got lost while hiking in the Olympic National Park. Thank goodness for the increased endurance they received from training for long distance triathlons, as it probably helped them survive their ordeal.

Read the news article. Read a post from one of the hikers.

This hits even closer to home when I consider that one of the hikers actually raced with/against me in my first Ironman.
